Women in Automotive Conference Draws Rave Reviews

About 375 people from all walks of the automotive industry descended upon the Orlando Florida area for last week’s Women in Automotive Conference at the Omni Hotel at ChampionsGate. JKR Automotive Advertising is proud to be a continuing sponsor.

 

Entering only its third year, the conference has quickly grown into one of the country’s premier forums for accelerating the role of women in the automotive industry. It has grown so much, so quickly, that a second conference has been added this year in Palm Springs, California. The event is set for December 10-11.

 

The event featured keynote presentations from speakers such as Ralph V. Gilles, Head of Design, FCA-Global; Alex Vetter, Chief Executive Officer and President, Cars.com; and Nicole Ashe, Senior Vice President Talent, Diversity and Culture, Cox Automotive.

 

The three-day conference included speakers, breakout sessions, workshops and booth displays. Three focus tracks were available to attendees: Trends (selling, marketing and employment), Personal Development and Leadership.

 

The WIA Conference is already being recognized as the destination for the automotive community to gain insight on recruiting, retaining and developing female employees and leaders; and also touches on the all-important aspects of selling and marketing to female consumers.
