Brand intimacy is a very real thing. Over time, people develop an affection for certain products and services they frequently use. Their automobiles are no different – and a recent study showed which automotive brands are most often the favorites.
Automotive ranked second out of 15 industries studied in the MBLM Brand Intimacy 2018 Report – the largest annual study based strictly on emotions (media and entertainment was first, in case you were wondering).
Some of the most notable results from the Brand Intimacy Report: BMW came in first overall among cars, followed by Jeep and Toyota. BMW ranked first among men, while Jeep took top honors with women. BMW finished third and Jeep fourth overall in all categories, with Jeep making the biggest move upward after finishing 15th last in last year’s Brand Intimacy Study.
This year’s report contains the most comprehensive rankings of brands based on emotion, analyzing the responses of 6,000 consumers and 54,000 brand evaluations across 15 industries in the U.S., Mexico and UAE. It showcases the performance of almost 400 brands, revealing the characteristics and intensity of the consumer bond with their favorite brands.
Overall, the top 12 automotive rankings were BMW, Jeep and Toyota as mentioned earlier; followed by Harley-Davidson, Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, GMC, Audi and Volvo.
