Third Fletcher Auto Group Dealership Signs with JKR Advertising

After experiencing soaring sales during the first month of their affiliation with JKR Automotive Advertising in their two Arkansas Kia stores, a third Fletcher Auto Group location has signed on with the agency. JKR is pleased to welcome Fletcher Honda of Columbia, MO to our family of dealerships.

The Fletcher Auto Group was started by Frank Fletcher in 1989, and has grown into an automotive giant. It features 12 stores in Arkansas and Missouri, and spans 13 different brands. “We are extremely excited to add a third store from the Fletcher Auto Group,” said JKR Partner Kevin Baumann. “We are going to roll up our sleeves and get right to work, helping Fletcher Honda of Columbia achieve the same results as their sister Kia dealerships in Arkansas.”

National Brand Building

On a national level, every brand sends out a specific message through their advertising, their overall look and appearance and, of course, the products they sell. When you think of Audi, BMW or Mercedes-Benz, feelings of luxury and style enter your mind. When you think of Porsche you think of that, too … but you probably think of speed first. Volvo and Subaru typically make people have images of safety. Meanwhile, brands like Honda and Toyota conjure up entirely different images in your mind, most likely dependability, value and even practicality.

Kia and BMW are among car manufacturers making automotive news these days. First up, we’ll examine Kia’s thoughts on possibly selling diesel powered automobiles here in the United States. After that, we’ll take a closer look at BMW’s billion-dollar plant in Mexico that is scheduled to begin production in 2019.

According to AutoGuide, a well-respected publication whose headquarters are based in Canada, Kia is mulling the idea of bringing diesel passenger cars to America. Kia Motors America Vice President for Product Planning Orth Hedrick says that if it happens at all, it won’t be for three to four years.

Most Stolen SUVs List Announced by the NICB

Each year, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) releases a list of the Most Stolen SUVs. This year’s list is based on 2011-2013 model year SUVs and crossover vehicles, and it shows a total of 27,211 stolen vehicles.

If you own a Ford, you might want to keep a special watch on your SUV or crossover, as they took the first three spots in the list. The three vehicles most coveted by auto thieves are the Escape (1,421), followed next by the Edge (1140) and the Explorer (958.) Interestingly, the Jeep Grand Cherokee was the only vehicle in the traditional SUV category to make the list.
